Tickets can be purchased where the
quilt is displayed at businesses in the Sandy
area and at the Sandy Historical Society Inc
museum. The winning ticket will be drawn on
July 29th at the Fly-In Breakfast at
McKinnon air field.
Adults: $5 / Seniors & Youth (6-12): $3.50 /
Children 5 & under: free /3-day pass: $12

Challenge
We are thrilled to invite
you to accept our 1st Annual Quilt
Challenge! Being our first challenge,
we thought a great theme would be “Firsts”.
Show us, in quilt form, an important ‘first’ in
your life---maybe it’s a first step, a first
kiss, or a first car…. Any first you
choose! The challenge is to use these
three fabrics in an easily recognizable way in
your quilt.
The butterfly is actually 8”. Fabrics are
Butterfly Carnival by Fabric Freedom &
Coordinates.
THE RULES
Minimum Size: 8” X 12”
Maximum Size: 40” X 40”
All 3 fabrics must be easily recognizable in the
quilt.
It must depict a “first” in your life.
You may use as many other fabrics as you choose.
Your quilt may be original or traditional in
design.
It may be pieced, appliqued, or embellished in
any way you choose.
It must be hand or machine quilted.
Ribbons will be awarded for:
Best Use of Challenge Fabrics, Most Original
“First”,
Best Depiction of Theme, Viewers’ Choice
Entry is easy; just fill out a quilt show
application for the Sandy Historical Society,
Inc’s 2012 Quilt Show. Applications will
be available by April 01, 2012 at:
